Job summary

CMC is seeking a skilled maintenance mechanic to support our steel and construction reinforcement operations. You will perform preventative maintenance, service and repair engines, hydraulics and related machinery, and keep meticulous records of parts and work performed.

This role requires reading technical manuals and working with a range of tools in an industrial environment. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of heavy equipment maintenance experience, knowledge of bearings and power transmission,

Qualifications

Experience with hydraulics/pneumatics and working on heavy equipment.
Proficient in reading and understanding technical documents, diagrams, and service manuals.
Experience with a wide variety of mechanics/hydraulics tools.
Knowledge of bearings, power transmission, electrical, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, and fluid pumping systems.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools and precision tools.
Minimum of 2 years of heavy equipment maintenance mechanic experience.

Responsibilities

Perform daily preventative maintenance on vehicles and mobile equipment.
Maintain mobile equipment, cranes, bearings, power transmission, hydraulics/pneumatics, and welding principles/rigging.
Repair engines, hydraulics systems, and other machinery as needed.
Repair engine failures and electrical system malfunctions.
Maintain records of work performed, repairs, and material usage.
Work in varying weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
Undertake any other tasks assigned by supervisor.
