Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) in Martinsburg, WV seeks a maintenance technician to support safety, reliability, and uptime across our fabrication and processing facilities.

You will diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, use SAP for work orders, and participate in start-up and shut-down activities, while upholding CMC safety culture.

The role requires experience in heavy industrial environments, ability to read schematics, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year field experience in heavy industrial ops or manufacturing preferred.
• Experience welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and diagnose pressure-related issues.

Responsibilities

• Participates in CMC safety programs and upholds safety culture.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test tools to find root cause.
• Use SAP maintenance module to execute work orders.
• Lead and document maintenance projects and supervise contractors.
• Meet work quality expectations and inspect equipment for defects.
• Prepare mechanical maintenance reports and analyze trends.
