Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking an equipment maintenance support technician to assist field personnel, communicate with dispatch, and ensure safe, timely repairs on heavy construction equipment. You will help coordinate parts delivery, participate in dealer training, and maintain quality workmanship across projects.

The role requires knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and welding basics, with a preference for hands-on experience and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1 year field experience repairing heavy construction equipment required.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist equipment technicians or service personnel with technical support by phone/email or at job site.
• Develop quick and accurate communication with field personnel and dispatch.
• Assure quality of repairs to minimize recalls and duplicate work.
• Assure compliance with all governmental and company safety policies.
• Review shop tool requirements to do work more efficiently.
• Observe and report deficiencies to advance the PM program.
• Participate in technical training with dealers/manufacturers and share knowledge with others.
• Work closely with Field Services Dispatcher and parts personnel to ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate daily with Internal Department, Field Managers and Superintendents and Field Mechanics.
• This position will be hourly and require overtime as needed.
