Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Maintenance Helper to support on-site repair and upkeep of production machinery in the Mid-Atlantic region. You will assist technicians, communicate with field staff and dispatch, and help ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards.

Qualifications include 1 year of field experience with heavy construction equipment, a high school diploma or trade training, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1 year field experience repairing heavy construction equipment required.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist equipment technicians or service personnel with technical support by phone, email, or on-site.
• Develop quick and accurate communication with field personnel and dispatch.
• Assure quality of repairs to minimize recall/duplicate work.
• Assure compliance with all governmental and company safety policies.
• Review shop tool requirements to do work more efficiently.
• Observe and report deficiencies to advance PM program effectiveness.
• Participate in training with dealers or manufacturers and share knowledge with others.
• Coordinate with Field Services Dispatcher and parts personnel to ensure on-time delivery of parts.
• Collaborate daily with Internal Department, Field Managers and Superintendents and field mechanics.
• This position is hourly and eligible for overtime as needed.
• Must have sufficient tools; company does not provide industry-standard tools.
• Keep service truck clean and orderly.
• Follow hours-of-service rules where applicable.
• Comply with Trimble/Telogis regulations.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.
