Job summary

Allan Myers is seeking a capable equipment support specialist to assist technicians in repairing heavy construction equipment and to communicate with field teams for timely service and parts delivery. The role emphasizes safety, proper tool usage, and adherence to PM programs and regulations.

You will work with various manufacturers’ training and be expected to operate under standard hours with overtime as needed, contributing to high-quality, cost-effective projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1 year field experience repairing heavy construction equipment.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist equipment technicians with technical support by phone/email or on site.
• Develop quick and accurate communication with field personnel and dispatch.
• Assure quality of repairs to minimize recalls/duplicate work.
• Assure compliance with all governmental and company safety policies.
• Review shop tool requirements to do work more efficiently.
• Observe and report deficiencies to forward PM program for effectiveness.
• Participate in technical training with dealer/manufacturer and share with others.
• Work closely with Field Services Dispatcher and parts personnel for on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with Internal Department, Field Managers and Superintendents daily.
• Maintain tools and keep service truck clean; comply with hours of service.
• Familiar with Trimble/Telogis regulations and safety standards.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.
