Job summary

EquipmentShare is hiring a Heavy Equipment Field Technician (Mechanic) at our Columbus, MS facility. You’ll maintain and repair rental and customer equipment, and diagnose issues using real-time data to determine corrective actions.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime and on-call duties; year‑round OEM training is provided. We seek hands-on problem solvers who care about safety, quality, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or trade school certificate required or preferred.
• Experience in field service, maintenance and repair is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; must be 21+ to operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Create, assign, and monitor work orders using our tech platform.
• Track machine service intervals and order parts.
• Diagnose issues to determine root cause and corrective action.
• Repair/maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems on rental and customer equipment.
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance when required.
