Job summary

EquipmentShare is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician (Mechanic) for our Akron, OH facility. You will maintain and repair a diverse fleet of heavy equipment and aerial lifts, using fleet data to diagnose issues and perform timely repairs.

You’ll work Monday–Friday, with overtime potential and on-call duties. The role emphasizes safe practices, technical proficiency, and collaboration with a team in a fast-paced, mission-driven company.

Qualifications

• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction equipment with an advanced understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain a variety of heavy equipment and aerial lifts.
• Use tech to create, assign, and monitor work orders and track service intervals.
• Maintain paperwork and documentation of work orders daily.
