Job summary

Hiab USA is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform maintenance and upgrades on loading systems in the Pittsburgh, PA area. This role requires travel and a high level of mechanical and electrical proficiency to ensure customer satisfaction.

You will operate in a dynamic field environment, adhering to safety rules and Hiab procedures, while building productive relationships with customers and colleagues. The position includes a generous sign-on bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card.
• Valid Driver’s License required with minimal violations.
• Minimum 5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills; own tools required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and service forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts and hoists per manager instructions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety checks; implement corrective actions and upgrades.
• Stay current with technical bulletins and complete required courses and certifications.
• Respond to customer questions with a focus on satisfaction and Hiab guidelines.
• Keep thorough records and submit daily reports in the prescribed format.
• Identify potential sales opportunities and communicate them to the District Service Manager.
• Mentor junior colleagues and trainees as needed.
