Job summary

The Hiab USA facility is in Levittown, PA, with field service work conducted across Pittsburgh, PA and surrounding areas. The role involves performing preventive maintenance, safety checks, repairs, upgrades and refurbishments on a range of lifting and material handling equipment, following Manager's instructions.

Successful candidates will have 5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience, a valid license, and be willing to travel full-time.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain and maintain a 1-year DOT Medical Card.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• No more than one moving violation in the last year, or two in the past two years.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical operations.
• Appropriate diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Own tools required.
• Know, understand and comply with Hiab USA, Inc. Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
• This position requires 100% travel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, perform service, troubleshoot on forklifts, knuckle boom cranes, loaders, liftgates, hooklifts, skiploaders and hoists per Manager's instructions.
• Follow safety rules, working practices and environmental requirements.
• Stay up to date with technical developments via internal service bulletins; complete courses as instructed by District Service Manager.
• Respond to customer queries and concerns to maximize satisfaction; follow Hiab guidelines.
• Keep adequate records, maintain documentation and submit daily reports as required by District Service Manager.
• Recognize sales opportunities and communicate to District Service Manager.
• Coach/tutor junior colleagues and trainees as necessary.
• Represent the Hiab brand positively and follow Quality System rules.
