Job summary

Modern Machinery in Idaho seeks a journey-level Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician. You will diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, A/C, and powertrain systems on Komatsu and related equipment, traveling to customer sites as needed.

The role requires 3–5 years of field service experience, a valid CDL, and the ability to work overtime and lift heavy parts. We offer comprehensive benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of verifiable field service repairs on heavy equipment.
• Valid CDL class A or B and clean driving record.
• Ability to travel away from home and work overtime.
• Experience with Komatsu preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, A/C, and powertrain systems.
• Operate field service truck and locate failures.
• Read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Prepare and submit work orders and time entries.
• Maintain field service truck and assist other technicians.
• Deliver exceptional customer service on-site.
