Job summary

Modern Machinery is actively seeking full-time Heavy Equipment Field Service Technicians to diagnose and repair industrial machines in the field. Candidates should have 3–5 years of field experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities include servicing Komatsu and affiliated lines, communicating with customers, and ensuring safety and accurate documentation. This role requires CDL and travel away from home as needed.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of verifiable field service repair experience.
• Experience repairing heavy equipment from a mobile field service truck.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• CDL Class A or B and insurable driving record required.
• DOT E-Logs experience and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, A/C and powertrain systems on Komatsu and related lines.
• Operate and test equipment to locate and diagnose failures.
• Read and interpret hydraulic/electrical schematics and test diagnostics.
• Communicate with customers about problems, plans, and status updates.
• Maintain safety procedures and complete paperwork promptly.
