Job summary
Empower Rental Group in Austin/San Antonio, TX area seeks a skilled CEC Technician to diagnose and repair heavy equipment while actively promoting maintenance services. You will combine technical expertise with customer-facing sales to recommend service plans and parts.
Ideal candidates have 5+ years of mechanical experience, strong knowledge of hydraulics, powertrains, and electrical systems, and a proven ability to work independently in field or shop settings.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of industry software: RentalMan, Smart Equip, and MS Excel.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, powertrain, and electrical systems.
- Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex issues with heavy equipment powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems using computer analyzers and traditional troubleshooting methods.
- Complete complex repairs to construction, aerial, and earthmoving machinery.
- Conduct detailed inspections to ensure equipment compliance and functionality.
- Promote maintenance packages, repair services, and parts to customers and upsell follow-up services.
- Write and manage purchase orders for repair parts and materials; ensure safety and proper documentation.
