Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems and heavy equipment components.
• Ability to read service manuals, schematics and diagnostic reports.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, shop equipment and repair procedures.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting and repairs on heavy equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance including fluid changes, inspections and adjustments.
• Document findings, parts used and repair actions in work orders.
• Communicate equipment condition and recommended repairs to supervisors.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in clean, safe condition.
• Follow safety procedures and regulatory standards.
• Assist with moving equipment in and out of the shop as needed.
• Support warranty repair processes and proper documentation.
