Job summary

Waste Pro seeks a skilled Heavy-Duty Truck Technician in Sarasota, FL to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and related systems on heavy and light duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG. Welding and fabrication may be required.

CDL-B preferred within 12 months. You will work with modern fleets and participate in safety checks, DVIR reviews, and timely documentation while supporting continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems on trucks.
• Read DVIRs and repair orders and communicate issues with managers/drivers.
• Complete required paperwork promptly and accurately.
• Follow safety policies and OSHA standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Use vehicle computer electronics to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain high ethics and dependability.
• CDL Class B license preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs to maximize safe operations.
