Job summary

Waste Pro is seeking an experienced Technician to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body systems on heavy and light trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG.

You will work with OEM manuals, perform safety checks, complete paperwork, and collaborate with drivers and managers. Waste Pro offers benefits and opportunities for ASE certification reimbursement and a monthly tool allowance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Suspension Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Brake System Inspections, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Electrical System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Knowledge of Hydraulic System Inspection, Diagnosis and Repair.
• Proficient in the use of Diagnostic tools with the ability to interpret and make repairs from Service Manuals.
• Ability to complete work within Suggested Repair Times (SRTs) and estimate time/materials.
• Knowledge to provide assistance and guidance to Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
• CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs on all equipment to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Communicates with managers/drivers about issues and preventive techniques.
• Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in accordance with OSHA standards.
• Uses vehicle computer systems to interpret failure modes for repairs.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Repairs using Factory Service Manuals.
• Maintains high standards of ethics and dependability.
