Job summary

Waste Pro is hiring a skilled technician to diagnose and repair heavy and light duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel and CNG systems. You will handle engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body components, and may perform welding and fabrication.

Work involves interpreting service manuals and using diagnostic tools on fleet vehicles in a fast-paced environment. This role offers a comprehensive pay range based on proven skills, plus a monthly tool allowance up to

Qualifications

Experience diagnosing and repairing heavy- and light-duty trucks' engine, transmission, brakes and electrical systems.
Ability to interpret service manuals and diagnostic tools.
Ability to estimate repair times and materials.
Provide guidance to Assistants and Shop Helpers.
CDL Class B preferred within 12 months.

Responsibilities

Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs to maximize safe operations.
Communicate with managers/drivers about vehicle issues and preventive techniques.
Complete all required paperwork timely and concisely.
Follow safety policies and maintain a clean work area.
Utilize vehicle computer systems to interpret failures and initiate repairs.
Conduct safety checks and use Factory Service Manuals.
