TCI Transportation is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Truck Service Writer to join our busy fleet maintenance team in Humble, TX. You will coordinate repairs, keep customers informed, and ensure shop operations run smoothly.

You will act as the primary contact for fleet customers, schedule maintenance, and manage work orders with technicians and vendors, while maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Service Writer or Service Advisor in a commercial truck repair or fleet service environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organization, multitasking, and follow-through.
• Ability to coordinate multiple service requests in a fast-paced shop.
• Attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping.
• Proficient with computers, service management software, and Excel.
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for fleet maintenance customers.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, and repair appointments.
• Inform customers about service schedules and required repairs.
• Schedule outside vendors and replacement rental equipment when needed.
• Open, process, update, and close service work orders accurately.
• Coordinate assignments with technicians and shop management.
• Maintain service records and provide documentation to customers.
• Track maintenance deadlines and follow up on outstanding work.
