Center for Digital Governmtent seeks a Permanent, Full-time Automotive Mechanic for the Department of Public Works in Maryland. Qualifications

• Graduation from high or vocational school; two or more years experience in the repair and maintenance of automotive equipment at the full performance level.
• ASE T Series: Medium-Heavy Truck (T1-T8) certification.
• Valid commercial Class B CDL without air brake restriction or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Tune engines, replace spark plugs, set timing; service calls.
• Repair and overhaul transmissions and differentials; adjust brakes.
• Use computerized diagnostic equipment to determine service needs.
• Inspect and replace brakes, cooling, ignition, electrical, and fuel systems.
• Repair and overhaul generators, carburetors, and hydraulic components.
• Repair and overhaul air compressors and other equipment; may perform limited welding.
