Job summary

Republic Services is hiring a Maintenance Technician A in Beatty, NV. This role performs repair and maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment including chassis, refuse bodies, air brakes, engines, HVAC, and suspension systems. You will work with a team to service a modern fleet and grow through training in new technologies.

Requires 5-7 years of technician experience on heavy trucks; ASE T1-T8 certification is a plus. Valid CDL B is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and demonstrate technical expertise.
• 5-7 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge of vehicle components and systems and performs complex repair/maintenance on-site and on the road.
• Diagnose and repair chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engine, suspension, HVAC, and aftertreatment systems.
• Use scan tools to diagnose electrical concerns and identify malfunction sources.
• Complete company training programs and assist with line welding and fabrication as needed.
