Job summary

Pioneer Crossing Landfill in Birdsboro, PA, operated by Mascaro & Sons, is seeking a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic to perform diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment. You will work with diagnostic tools, lifts and jacks, sourcing parts and following manufacturer specifications to ensure reliability.

Candidates should have a diesel engine technical degree or relevant experience, read technical manuals, and hold or be able to obtain a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Diesel engine technical degree or related training or experience.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret technical data via manuals.
• Knowledge of safe operation of garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts and jacks.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic, repair and maintenance on trucks and construction equipment per manufacturer specs.
• Identify and obtain replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.
• Disassemble and reassemble major assemblies and powertrain components.
• Adhere to warranty policies and procedures and work safely in a fast-paced environment.

It is also home to a unique, cutting-edge gas-to-energy facility to further protect our environment.Come Join Our Family!Our Pioneer Crossing Landfill, located in Birdsboro, PA, is currently searching for a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic!What You Will Do:Perform diagnostic, repair and maintenance on trucks, construction equipment, including auxiliary components in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.Knowledgeable in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment.Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.Adhere to manufacturer’s warranty policies and procedures.Capability to independently analyze and safely resolve problemsCorrect vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction unitsSpecial projects and other job duties as assigned.You Have:Diesel Engine Technical degree and/or training or relative and transferable experience.Knowledge in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists and jacking equipment.Ability to Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs.Ability to read, understand and interpret technical data via instruction manuals.Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and softwareA valid driver’s licenseStrong work ethic with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.Must be organized and motivated to succeed with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.You Might Have:A Commercial Driving License (A or B)PA State Inspection License (highly desired)ASEsYour own toolsWe Offer:Competitive SalaryHealth InsuranceLife Insurance401K with Company matchEligible for Annual BonusA fun, family environmentand much more!!For over 40 years, our motto has been "If it's service, it's us".
