Job summary

Ryder in Corsicana, Texas is hiring a permanent, full-time, experienced mid-level diesel technician to support our truck fleet. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, with on-the-job training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Basic tools required.
• Experience with mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties including standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses complex mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Completes complex mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of the issue.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Adheres to safety and compliance guidelines (DOT, MOT).
• Mentors Tech 1 and Tech 2 levels.
