Job summary

Ryder in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Mid-Level Diesel Technician to maintain and repair fleet vehicles in a stable, safety‑minded environment. The role offers weekly pay, comprehensive medical/dental/vision benefits after 30 days, and 401(k) with company match.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and component repairs on diesel engines, with opportunities to advance as ASE certifications are earned. A CDL‑A is preferred but not mandatory for initial eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or technical certification preferred.
• Demonstrated aptitude for mechanical repair and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic equipment.
• Replaces defective components and performs related repairs as required.
• Ensures compliance with safety, DOT, MOT and company policies.
