Saia LTL Freight is hiring a diesel mechanic to perform maintenance and repair on heavy trucks (class 6–8). The role requires diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, using hydraulic jacks, and assisting with engine and transmission work.

You’ll test vehicles post-repair and document maintenance tasks, with emphasis on safety and accuracy. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and legal work status in the United States.

• Must provide and maintain personal maintenance tools.
• Read, write, communicate and comprehend the English language to perform the job tasks and review documents.

Responsabilidades

• Repairs and maintains systems and parts on class 6–8 tractors.
• Diagnoses failures and repairs mechanical, electrical, and system components.
• Uses hydraulic jacks to access underneath vehicles.
• Assists in engine, transmission, differential and spring replacements.
• Tests vehicles after repairs to ensure proper function.
