Saia is seeking a skilled diesel mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, and diagnostic tasks on heavy trucks and equipment. The role involves diagnosing failures, replacing engines and transmissions, and ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards.

Qualified applicants will have diesel mechanic experience, access to personal tools, and the ability to work in the United States. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Qualificações

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must provide and maintain personal maintenance tools.
• Read, write, communicate and comprehend English to perform the job and follow instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Repairs and maintains systems and parts on class 6, 7, and 8 powered tractors.
• Diagnoses failures and repairs mechanical, electric, and systems of vehicles.
• Uses hydraulic jacks to access underneath vehicles.
• Assists in replacement of engines, transmissions, differentials, and springs.
• Troubleshoots heavy-duty truck engines, braking, electrical, and exhaust systems.
• Documents repairs, inspections and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborates with business partners for training and assistance on complex repairs.
• Tests vehicles after repairs to ensure proper function.
