Job summary

Saia Motor Freight Line LLC is seeking a diesel mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, diagnose, and repair systems on heavy‑duty Class 6–8 trucks and equipment. You will use hydraulic jacks, inspect engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and exhaust systems, and document repairs and inspections after completion.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Must provide and maintain personal maintenance tools.
• Read, write and communicate in English to perform tasks and review documents.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains systems and parts for Class 6, 7, and 8 tractors.
• Diagnoses failures and repairs mechanical, electrical, and exhaust systems.
• Uses hydraulic jacks and inspects engines, brakes, transmissions, differentials, and springs.
• Documents repairs and inspections and coordinates with partners on complex tasks.
