Job summary

You will determine total project costs by producing comprehensive estimates and supporting documentation, with a focus on accuracy and analytics to drive winning bids. The role requires 3-5 years of heavy civil estimating experience, strong organizational and communication skills, and proficiency with take-offs and cost compilation.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in heavy civil work.
• Strong organizational skills to manage diverse tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively with owners, project engineers, and government offices.
• Proficient in complete and accurate project take-offs and estimates.
• Experience with MS Office; HCSS HeavyBid & HeavyJob; Primavera; P6; accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers; bid to 95% complete before formal review.
• Prepare rough project schedule to determine time frame.
• Review estimated productions with superintendents to finalize the bid.
• Enter detailed data into HCSS HeavyBid software.
• Other duties as assigned.
