Independence Excavating, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to determine total project costs for heavy civil construction. You will create comprehensive estimates, interpret drawings, solicit subcontractor quotes, and enter data into HCSS HeavyBid.

The successful candidate will have 3–5 years of heavy civil experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to build relationships with owners, engineers, and officials. Opportunities for growth and advancement are offered.

Qualificações

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Construction Management is preferred.
• 3-5 years of previous related experience is required in heavy civil work.
• Must have strong organizational skills to handle a variety of tasks.
• Must develop positive working relationships with owners and project engineers as well as local government office.
• Ability to perform complete and accurate project take-offs and estimates.
• Prefer experience using Microsoft Office, HCSS HeavyBid & HeavyJob, Primavera/P6, and accounting software.

Responsabilidades

• Read, understand and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Solicit quotes from subcontractors and suppliers; estimate to be 95% complete prior to formal review with Chief Estimator.
• Prepare rough schedule of project for determining time frame.
• Review estimated productions with superintendents to finalize the bid.
• Enter detailed data into HCSS HeavyBid software.
• Other duties as assigned.
