Job summary

CBIZ Talent Solutions is partnering with a leading heavy civil construction organization to identify an experienced Senior Estimator / Estimating Lead in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on developing accurate, competitive cost estimates for infrastructure projects and mentoring the estimating team.

The successful candidate will influence bidding strategy, improve processes, and collaborate with executives, operations, subcontractors, and suppliers to position the company for growth.

Qualifications

• 8 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience with highways, bridges, concrete paving, site development, and underground utilities.
• Direct experience with HCSS HeavyBid is required.
• Experience with public works, DOT, and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of detailed estimates and bid packages for heavy civil projects.
• Analyze plans and documents to determine requirements and costs.
• Develop labor, equipment, material, subcontractor, trucking and production estimates.
• Establish bid strategies and provide pricing recommendations to senior leadership.
• Coordinate and manage the bid process from opportunity evaluation through proposal submission.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project reviews.
