Job summary

NTN Bearing Corporation in Indiana is seeking a Machine Operator to support daily production, train operators, and monitor quality and efficiency metrics. The role covers data collection, changeovers, and participation in 5S/Kaizen initiatives while ensuring adherence to ISO and internal standards.

The candidate will work with operators to troubleshoot issues, perform frequent equipment checks, and maintain accurate production logs and inventories.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a Machine Operator with proficiency using micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to train operators and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support operators in addressing technical issues and challenges.
• Train operators to ensure compliance with production specifications and quality standards.
• Perform changeovers, tool changes and assist in troubleshooting machine and operational issues.
• Gather and provide accurate production data to management for analysis and decision-making.
• Assist in conducting physical inventories and ensure accuracy of stock levels.
• Complete and maintain all required documentation, including production logs and reports.
• Participate in company initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement activities.
• Inspect & repair parts in sort area as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production and operational needs.

POSITION SUMMARY

The position is responsible for providing day-to-day support, including training operators to meet ISO, customer, and company standards. The role involves generating reports such as QTRs, and recording key production metrics including scrap, downtime, and output. Additionally, the position includes troubleshooting machine issues, participating in company-wide training and initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen), and supporting operators to ensure production goals, delivery timelines, and quality standards are met.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
