Job summary

NTN Bearing of America in Indiana is seeking a hands-on machine operator who will train and support our production operators to meet ISO and quality standards. You will generate production data, perform changovers, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and Kaizen.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, accurate documentation, and flexibility to work weekends or holidays as required to meet delivery and production goals.

Qualifications

• Proficiency using micrometers, calipers and other measuring tools.
• Must have previous experience as a Machine Operator.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Willing to work outside schedule, including weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support operators in addressing technical issues.
• Train operators to meet production specifications and quality standards.
• Perform changeovers, tool changes and assist in troubleshooting machine and operational issues.
• Gather and provide accurate production data to management for analysis and decision-making.
• Assist in conducting physical inventories and ensure accuracy of stock levels.
• Complete and maintain all required documentation, including production logs and reports.
• Participate in company initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement activities.
• Inspect & repair parts in sort area as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production and operational needs.

Additionally, the position includes troubleshooting machine issues, participating in company-wide training and initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen), and supporting operators to ensure production goals, delivery timelines, and quality standards are met.
