Job summary

NTK Precision Axle Corp. in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator Lead to train and support production operators, ensuring adherence to ISO, customer, and company standards.

You will generate production metrics, perform changeovers, and help troubleshoot equipment while driving 5S and Kaizen initiatives. Strong attention to detail and readiness to work weekends and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Machine Operator.
• Proficiency with micrometers and calipers.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support operators in addressing technical issues and challenges.
• Train operators to ensure compliance with production specifications and quality standards.
• Perform changeovers, tool changes and assist in troubleshooting machine and operational issues.
• Gather and provide accurate production data to management for analysis and decision-making.
• Assist in conducting physical inventories and ensure accuracy of stock levels.
• Complete and maintain all required documentation, including production logs and reports.
• Participate in company initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and other continuous improvement activities.
• Inspect & repair parts in sort area as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support overall production and operational needs.

POSITION SUMMARY

The role involves generating reports such as QTRs, and recording key production metrics including scrap, downtime, and output. Additionally, the position includes troubleshooting machine issues, participating in company-wide training and initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen), and supporting operators to ensure production goals, delivery timelines, and quality standards are met.
