GAF in Illinois is seeking a Machine Technician to support diverse manufacturing operations. You will work to produce high-quality products with accuracy, timeliness and safety as top priorities, and you will assist managers and plant staff to meet production goals.

The role requires basic math, strong communication, and problem-solving skills; familiarity with Google Suite is helpful. You will operate with a strong emphasis on safety, quality and cost control in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing or safety-sensitive role.
• Proficient with Google Suite and basic math for measurements.

Job Summary

The Machine Technician is responsible for producing high-quality products through accuracy, timeliness and efficiency of all manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate thrives in environments where safety, quality, service and cost are the highest priorities. The Machine Technician will perform various, rotating duties relating to all manufacturing operations. He or she will support managers and all plant staff to meet operational goals and perform duties as assigned. Employees will contribute to a highly motivated and positive environment. The Machine Technician must be familiar with all areas of the process, along with any off-line equipment associated with the production line. It is the responsibility of all Technicians to operate in a safe manner, and monitor the quality of the product we produce

Qualifications Required

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or safety-sensitive role.

• Strong planning, prioritization, organizational, and reporting skills

Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to troubleshoot and solve production challenges
• Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite
• Familiar with standard manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures
• Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to read and interpret measurements

Salary and Benefits

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Hourly Rate: $32.78
