Job summary

ThermTech - Heat Treating Specialists is seeking a Finishing Operator at our Waukesha, WI facility. The role involves no-carb masking, etching for traceability, fixture loading, and blast cleaning after heat treat processing.

You will perform part counts, inspect for damage, and help with final packaging and inspections. Strong attention to detail and the ability to read and write English are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior factory work or Heat-Treating finishing experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Mask parts with no-carb masking paints to retard carburization/hardening as per prints or guides.
• Set up furnace loads by counting out quantities of parts per order.
• Etch parts with order information for heat treat lot traceability.
• Place parts into heat treat fixtures and prepare loads for furnace, ensuring correct configuration.
• Assist in breaking down furnace loads after processing.
• Perform final cleaning using spinner/hanger, tumble, or table blast equipment as required.
• Count orders after cleaning and packaging, verifying IDs and quantities.
• Return packaged parts to customer packaging per specs.
• Inspect parts for damage across front and back ends of processing.
• Advanced operators may assist in final inspection on shift supervisor request.
• Maintain plant organization and cleanliness.
