BAC (Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc.) is seeking an engineering-focused candidate to assist with heat rejection and transfer technology development. You will design and assemble small to medium test modules and run performance and reliability tests, while supporting data-driven modeling efforts.

The role emphasizes CAD proficiency, thermodynamics knowledge, and data acquisition capabilities. Seniors or MS students are encouraged to apply for flexible, potentially part-time engagement.

Qualifications

• Majoring in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Materials preferred).
• Seniors or MS students preferred.
• 2D and 3D CAD experience required; Autodesk Inventor preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and fluid dynamics.
• Working knowledge of data acquisition equipment setup and operation.
• Proficient in Excel; advanced knowledge of Excel VBA or Matlab preferred.

Responsabilités

• Work with Heat Transfer Systems team to develop and validate heat rejection/transfer technologies.
• Design and assemble small/medium test modules.
• Design and run small/medium scale performance/reliability testing equipment and procedures.
• Support development of numerical performance modeling tools from data sets.
• Identify and qualify alternative design and materials of construction options.
• Support technology scale-up activities (product concept development, cost modeling).
