Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (advanced degree preferred).
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics.
• 8+ years HVAC experience with 5+ years performing complex CFD analyses for external flow/thermal/HVAC applications.
• Ability to work independently and clearly communicate complex results to customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform CFD analyses to support customer heat rejection site evaluations and translate requests into analytical scope and boundary conditions.
• Evaluate airflow distribution, unit-to-unit interactions, recirculation effects, and performance impacts due to layout, wind, and surrounding structures.
• Provide recommendations to reduce the impact of the above parameters on thermal performance.
• Communicate results professionally to internal and external stakeholders (Customers, Applications Engineering, etc.).
• Support technical inquiries from customers where standard tools or guidelines are insufficient.
• Define and maintain CFD modeling standards, including geometry simplification, meshing strategies, boundary conditions, validation methods, and sensitivity checks.
• Establish documentation and reporting standards for traceability and proper use of results.
• Stay up to date with CFD developments and evaluate software providers.
• Support internal training on how CFD studies are performed and interpreted.
