BAC (Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc.) is seeking a student intern to work with the Thermal Test group in Jessup, MD. You will assist engineers with improving test processes, data analysis, and lab automation initiatives while contributing to the development of new cooling technologies for datacenters.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in electro-mechanical control systems.
• Hands-on approach and enjoyment of practical projects.
• Experience with lab testing processes, instrumentation and measurement techniques.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD; knowledge of Lean tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Thermal Test Engineers to improve test processes and data analysis in the lab.
• Contribute to Lab Innovation Projects and process mapping initiatives.
• Support process improvement projects and data-driven decisions.
• Assist in lab automation projects involving process control and data analysis.
• Participate in new technology development for cooling datacenters of the future.
