Cape Cod Community College seeks a dedicated educator to lead non-credit Heat Pump Technician courses, blending classroom and hands-on lab work to prepare students for industry credentials.

The position involves developing curricula, coordinating access to the on-campus training lab, and partnering with local employers to support student internships and job placement. The role is grant-funded and based on campus in Massachusetts.

Competenze

• Technical Diploma/certification/degree in HVAC/R with at least 3 years of work experience in HVAC/R.
• Current EPA Section 608 Universal certification.
• Comprehensive knowledge of heat pump systems (air-source, ducted and ductless).
• Ability to work flexible hours and manage multiple priorities (teaching + coordination).
• Experience teaching, training, or mentoring adults.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, faculty, and industry partners.

Mansioni

• Teach non-credit Heat Pump Technician courses, combining classroom instruction with hands-on lab training.
• Develop and finalize program and course outlines aligned with MassCEC grant requirements.
• Evaluate students’ progress and prepare for EPA certification exams and credentialing.
• Set up and equip the on-campus Heat Pump training lab for the first cohort in 2027.
• Manage student applications, enrollment, and scheduling in collaboration with program staff.
• Build relationships with HVAC employers for advisory input, work-based learning, and placement opportunities.
