Job summary

Cape Cod Community College is seeking an HVAC Systems Specialist (HVAC II) to install, maintain, and repair heating and cooling systems across campus facilities, including boilers, chillers, and building management controls.

The ideal candidate has MA refrigeration technician license, two years of relevant experience, and the ability to supervise junior staff while ensuring safe, efficient operation. Travel between campus sites is required.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of HVAC heating, ventilation, refrigeration and related sub-systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches and specs.
• Ability to train and supervise junior staff in HVAC operations.
• Commitment to safety and OSHA-standard practices.

Responsibilities

• Instructs and may supervise HVAC personnel in maintenance and operation of building systems.
• Inspects and repairs building HVAC systems and controllers.
• Operates and maintains HVAC subsystems for optimal performance.
• Recommends modifications for new or existing facilities.
• Maintains records and assists in scheduling work.
• Estimates material quantities and initiates procurement.
