Job summary

The University of Toledo is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Heart and Vascular Care Unit (HVCU). This role supports the Registered Nurse by providing delegated patient care and assisting with unit operations on a part-time schedule.

You will follow directions from nursing leadership, maintain CPR/BLS certification, and complete the UTMC Healthcare Tech training as required. Weekend and holiday shifts are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Complete UTMC Healthcare Tech training and maintain CPR/BLS certification.
• Active CNA/STNA certification exempt if already qualified or recent nursing graduate.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and assist in meeting patient needs under RN direction.
• Follow the Lead/Charge Nurse, Nursing Director, and House Supervisor directions.
• Attend mandatory UTMC Health Tech training and maintain CPR/BLS certification.
