Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance on the telemetry monitors.
• Promptly notify the Registered Nurse with any changes in the patient’s heart rhythm.
• Record patient’s heart rhythm hourly and as changes occur.
• Run telemetry strips for the Registered Nurse based on policy and procedure.
• Notify nursing staff promptly when there is an interruption in the telemetry signal.
• Provide daily inventory to maintain the correct number of transmitters and lead wires.
• Handle confidential information on a regular basis (medical nature).
