Qualifications

• Successful completion of telemetry education and competency within 6–12 weeks of hire.
• Excellent written and oral communications.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance on telemetry monitors.
• Notify RN promptly with any changes in patient heart rhythm.
• Record patient’s heart rhythm hourly and as changes occur.
• Run telemetry strips for the Registered Nurse per policy and procedure.
• Notify nursing staff promptly when there is an interruption in the telemetry signal.
• Provide daily inventory to maintain transmitters and lead wires.
