Job summary

Advocate Health Kenosha Telemetry department is seeking a part-time Telemetry Monitor Technician to oversee continuous monitoring of patients’ heart rhythms during night shifts from 7pm to 7:30am, with rotating weekends/holidays. 12 hours per week.

Responsibilities include notifying nurses of rhythm changes, recording rhythms hourly, and maintaining equipment inventory while handling confidential information. Education required is a high school diploma; no prior experience needed.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of telemetry education and competency within 6–12 weeks of hire.
• Excellent written and oral communications.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain constant surveillance on telemetry monitors.
• Notify RN of changes in patient heart rhythm.
• Record patient's heart rhythm hourly and as changes occur.
• Run telemetry strips as per policy and procedure.
• Notify nursing staff of telemetry signal interruptions.
• Provide daily inventory to maintain transmitters and lead wires.
• Handle confidential medical information regularly.
