Qualifications

• Completion of a telemetry or EKG interpretation course during orientation period required
• 0-2 years of clerical and/or clinical experience in a medical setting required

Responsibilities

• Continuously observes and interprets telemetry monitors, recording rhythm strips at established intervals
• Identifies rhythm changes and promptly notifies the nurse or licensed personnel of concerns
• Maintains effective communication with peers, staff, physicians, and leaders for seamless care
• Troubleshoots and resolves issues with monitoring equipment, escalating when needed
• Organizes and tracks monitoring equipment during shifts for admissions, transfers, discharges
• Ensures accurate lead placement and electrode application for optimal monitoring
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance
• Complies with all policies and standards
