Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System seeks an experienced leader to manage the operational implementation, training, and support of advanced technology solutions across healthcare settings.

You will guide discovery sessions, translate clinical needs into technical specs, and mentor a team of engineers and analysts to ensure high-quality, scalable deployments while aligning with quality improvement and patient care goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Nursing, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory/management experience.
• Minimum 5 years of patient-facing clinical experience in healthcare settings (academic medical center preferred).
• Experience with technology innovation and implementation of novel solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Implementation Engineers and analysts to implement and support new technology solutions.
• Provide clinical operational expertise to translate clinical needs into technical requirements.
• Lead discovery sessions and document requirements for design of local departments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technology with human factors and quality improvement.
• Develop training plans and materials with staff to ensure proficient use of technology.
• Oversee testing of solutions and address issues with technical teams.
• Solicit user feedback and translate insights to the core innovation team.
• Lead assessments of solution transformation and drive continuous improvement.
• Present data insights using appropriate visualization tools to enable data driven decisions.
