Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Program Manager for a 20-month grant-funded project focused on expanding the regional healthcare workforce. You will design operational plans with Brightpoint, Reynolds Community College, and other partners, launching programs to prepare residents for entry-level clinical roles.

You will recruit 25 residents, strengthen career pathways, and collaborate with HR to align with hiring needs, reporting outcomes to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, education, human resources, or a related field.
• Experience with stakeholder management.
• 3 years of project management or workforce development experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Petersburg Region Healthcare Workforce Expansion grant project and related programs.
• Meet with community colleges, workforce alliances, schools and partners to design operational plans.
• Develop and launch workforce development programs to prepare residents for entry-level clinical roles.
• Recruit and support 25 residents from the Petersburg Tri-Cities region.
• Collaborate with VCU Health System leaders and HR to assess workforce needs and hiring trends.
• Track and report program outcomes and milestones.
