Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of recent healthcare experience in an acute or ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and other computer software/applications.
• Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette skills.
• Able to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical work for transfer of patients to hospital or Skilled Nursing Facilities according to standards.
• Expedite the disposition of referrals consistently and accurately.
• Facilitate Provider Orders accurately and prioritize STAT orders.
• Disassemble and distribute charts and clinical records per policies.
• Document and distribute all messages per approved procedures.
• Input and maintain statistical data to generate required reports.
