Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA is seeking a Unit Service Coordinator to coordinate and perform a broad range of clerical support functions in the nursing unit. You will perform reception duties, collect patient data, assemble medical records, and assist with patient admission and discharge.

The role requires English proficiency, ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, and prior medical clerical experience. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of medical terminology and bilingual abilities.

Qualifications

• Prior work administrative/clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting.
• Preventative Management of Assaultive Behavior (PMAB) Certification within 3 months of hire and annually thereafter
• Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform a broad range of clerical support in the nursing unit.
• Perform reception functions and assist with patient admission/discharge.
• Collect and compile patient data and assemble medical records.
• Assist with routine patient care functions as needed.
• Support other related duties as required
