Job summary

South Western Communications (SWC) in Suwanee, GA, is seeking a Systems Technician to install, troubleshoot and maintain electronic communication systems including VOIP, SIP, and networking. Nurse Call experience is preferred and Cisco/Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Two-year electronics degree or equivalent with 1-3 years related experience.
• Working knowledge of communications systems required.
• Experience with VoIP, telephony, data networks or nurse call applications preferred.
• Cisco and Microsoft certifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Final hookup and programming of electronics equipment for new jobs.
• Respond to customer service-related issues promptly.
• Test and document readings for customer systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electronic components.
• On-call duties on a regular schedule.
• Train customer on proper use of equipment.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• Operate test equipment: voltmeter, ohm meter, oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, multimeter, impedance meter.
• Assist with preventive maintenance of customer equipment.
• Accurate tracking of time sheets, service/installation tickets and inventory items.
• Comply with company's and customer's safety programs.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
