Job summary

Mercy Hospital Washington is seeking a Communication Service Operator to handle incoming calls, connect lines, page physicians, and provide patient information. The role may include dispatcher duties for Safety and Security and other offsite locations.

This full-time position supports Mercy’s Washington, MO campus at 901 E 5th Street. You’ll have a high school diploma, and while telephone or customer service experience is beneficial, strong English communication and computer skills are

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Telephone or customer service experience beneficial.
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple computer software systems simultaneously.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English both orally and written.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Answer all incoming calls and connect lines.
• Page physicians and place calls for staff and families.
• Provide patient information and support class registrations and referrals.
• May serve as Dispatcher for Safety and Security, Maintenance, and other offsite locations.
