Job summary

Duke University Hospital seeks an inventory Specialist to support supply chain operations in Durham, NC. Level I responsibilities include distributing and restocking supplies, using Pyxis and SAP to document movement, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring accurate inventory.

Level II duties involve mentoring, coordinating with nursing units and off-site clinics, managing PAR levels, generating reports in EPIC and Pyxis, and performing ERP transactions with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.
• Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Pyxis, EPIC.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills; ability to work in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and restock supplies and/or linen for end users.
• Utilize ERP systems to document movement of supplies (SAP, Pyxis, EPIC).
• Perform regular cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Check expiration dates and discard expired products as needed.
• Accept and sign for deliveries; inspect shipments and file packing slips.
• Prepare and process vendor returns and rotate stock in all inventory areas.
• Move and stock supplies and deliver to designated recipients.
• Provide excellent customer service for supply and linen inquiries.
• Level II: mentor Level I associates and back up Team Lead duties.
• Coordinate with nursing units and off-site clinics; manage inventory and PAR levels.
• Generate and analyze reports from EPIC and Pyxis; manage ERP transactions.
